Metcal MX-UK4 Precision Tweezers Hand-Piece Cord & Workstand Upgrade Kit for the MX-5000 Station

The MX-UK4 is an ESD-Safe, MX Series "Precision Tweezer" Upgrade Kit. This kit is designed for use with any existing MX-Series Solder Systems. The MK-UK4 includes the MX-PTZ Precision Tweezer Hand-Piece and the MX-W4PT Tip-Saver Work-Stand. The MX-TPZ features an adjustable tip alignment for both height and rotation, ensuring a co-planarity of the tips cartridges at all times. The Dual Position Switch allows for the adjustment of the "pincher-action", adjusting to the components width. The MX-TPZ features a 70" (178cm) Cable length, for an unmatched reach and the ability to solder from nearly any angle. The iron accepts the TxP Series Precision Tweezer Cartridges. The included MX-W4PT Tip-Saver Stand features an integrated Auto-Sleep Function, which places the iron in sleep mode when entered into the magnetic cradle of the stand.

This function helps save the overall life of the tip or cartridge being used. The MX-W4PT also includes yellow "wet" sponge (STSS-YS1) and a brass coil pad to clean the tip/cartridge in-between each application. The stand also features an adjustable cradle "angle", allowing the operator to select and lock the preferred angle of the tools placement. The angle adjustment can also provide a choice of configuration, to use the brass coil alone, the wet sponge alone or set-up the stand with both the coil cleaner and wet sponge together.
