The Metcal STTC-147 is a 1.78 x 14.2mm 60° long reach bevel Soldering Cartridge Tip for most standard applications. The STTC cartridge provides a wide range of options for through-hole and SMD rework. The 700 series tip for use with the MX-500 and MX-5000 and MX-5200 systems and with the MX-RM3E and MX-H1-AV handpieces. Fixed temperature cartridges and tips offer users a fully safe and thermally effective solution to their lead free soldering needs as well as complete process control. SmartHeat Technology is unique in that it senses the specific thermal demand directly at the solder pad and delivers the precise quantity and flow of thermal energy during both flux activation and intermetallic bonding phases without any adjustment and calibration.
