METCAL MX-H6-HTD High Thermal Demand Hand-Piece for Soldering Cartridges

The MX-H6-HTD is an ESD-Safe, MX Series "High Thermal Demand" (HTD) Solder Iron Hand-Piece. This iron is designed for use with the MX-Series Systems. The MX-H6-HTD features the ability to deliver more thermal energy, efficiently minimizing the risk of component or PCB damage associated with leaving a soldering iron tip on the solder joint for extended periods of time. The hand-piece offers an ergonomic and lightweight design that keeps the operator comfortable even on large industrial applications. The MX-H6-HTD provides a very fast heat-up speed, for example the HTC 2.5mm tip (HTC-xCH0025S) reaches 437°F (225°C), 20% faster than existing STTC-136P tips and 70% faster than a STTC-136 tip. The compatible HTC Series tip cartridges are available in 700 and 800 series temperatures, with a 900 series coming soon (*All Tip Cartridges Sold Separately). The MX-H6-HTD Hand-Piece is compatible with the MX-W1AV Safety Rest (Sold Separately).
