These sturdy shears have sharp, fine blades that leave a very clean edge. Shears operate like scissors, with blades that smoothly bypass one another as they cut, but have a more robust construction ideal for cutting metal sheet; use these shears to cut soft wire up to 16 gauge and sheet up to 20 gauge. The straight blades are perfect for cutting fine, straight lines. These shears have a lap joint; one half of the joint overlaps the other, and a pivot is set through both halves. The return spring keeps the shears open until you squeeze them closed. The handles are cushioned for comfort over extended work periods and to provide a secure, non-slip grip. Ideal for many other applications such as cutting insulation, cables, ties & corded material of all types.
