The Hexacon SI-170 Screw Tip Soldering Irons have an oversize chisel tip with the highest thermal mass of any iron tip. Hexacon SI-170 175W Screw Tip Soldering Iron comes with a T271 Tip. Bare copper (unplated) tips are standard. Xtradur plated tips are optional. The T271 Tip measures 1" diameter at the barrel x 2-3/8" long and tapers to a 1/2" wide chisel end. The SI-170 Screw Tip Iron will outperform a standard plug-tip 175W or 200W iron. The Hexacon 175 Watt Soldering Iron reaches an idle tip temperature of 1000F. 110/120V is standard; call for custom 220/240V.
