We're discussing the splice tape with shim in one. Basically has the tape connector and the splice ship in one. It comes in sizes 8, 12, 16, and 24 millimeters. You will place this in the splice tool with the teeth up, centered on the pins. You will then put the two pieces of carrier tape that are going to be spliced together, butted up against each other, not overlapping, to be able to create that seamless splice. Then put the hold down unit there. We will then crimp the carrier tape, the tool.
We then will remove the splice from the tool itself and then remove the white liner, the white liner. We will fold over the splice to the top of the carrier tape itself. And then we will press firmly all the way through on both sides. And then we will remove the clear plastic piece from the splice. And it's just a clear plastic piece of material, and which will entail leave you with a splice on the top and a splice on the bottom. Allows you to run seamlessly through all your pick and place machines for 8 millimeter, 12 millimeter, 16 millimeter and 24 millimeter.
