Not sure which handpiece you have?

The handpiece model is printed on the iron's grip or on the heater date label. SX-100/SX-90 heaters with date codes before 10/06 require Endura-series tips, not the current SX-100/SX-90 line.

  • SX-100 / SX-90 — IntelliHeat or SensaTemp Sodr-X-Tractor with no-clog tips. Most common choice.
  • SX-70 — SensaTemp general purpose handpiece with glass collection chamber.
  • SX-80 / Older SX-90/100 — uses Endura tip series.

Tip Selection: I.D. must be large enough for the lead to pass through with room for solder extraction. O.D. should be smaller than the pad diameter to prevent board damage.

PACE Desoldering Tip Overview

PACE desoldering tips are designed for use with Sodr-X-Tractor vacuum desoldering handpieces. Proper tip selection is critical for effective solder removal: the Inside Diameter (I.D.) must accommodate the component lead, while the Outside Diameter (O.D.) should not exceed the pad size.

Standard through-hole desoldering. No-clog design prevents solder solidification.
