This is a splice card. The tool is mounted on the splice card. Basically, we will open that and grab a splice shim, put it in the center alignment pins with the teeth facing up. Put that right there. We will then center the carrier tape on the splice. We'll put the hold down unit on one side. We will then put the other piece of carrier tape to be spliced on the other side. Put the hold down unit on there. We will then crimp the tool, and your splice on the bottom will be complete. We will then get a cover tape connector from the dispenser, right next to the splice tool. We will place this on the carrier tape cover tape, and you will have a splice on the tape and a splice on the carrier tape on the bottom, as well. This will create a splice that allows you to feed into your feeder without any problems at all.
