Tubing Replacement and Parts List
Replacing the pinch tube of the wand
The pinch tube on the wand may need to be replaced over time. Following is a step-by-step procedure for replacing the pinch tube:
DISASSEMBLY
1) Remove the pin that holds the lever to the body. Put the pin, spring and brass pincher on the side, for use when re-assembling
2) Unscrew the rear valve body from the front body.
3) Remove the pinch valve from the wand. Disconnect from the front needle adapter, as well as the
rear wash and barb fitting. Replace the material line as well, if necessary.
Re-ASSEMBLY
1) Cut a new piece of pinch tube to 5.5 inches in length.
2) Make sure the front white needle adapter fitting is unscrewed and detached from the front of the wand.
3) Attach the pinch tube to the white needle adapter fitting. Twist it in so it is inserted as far as possible into this needle adapter.
4) Insert the pinch tube into the front of the wand and then screw in the white needle adapter to the front of the wand. The pinch tube should stick out the back end about 3/4".
5) Lift the pinch tube outside the semi-open area at the back of the valve body being careful not to pull it away from the white needle adapter.
6) Put the black ring over the pinch tube, then attach the pinch tube to the small barb on the barb-to- barb black fitting that is attached to your material line. You may have to leave 1/8 of an inch when connecting the pinch tube to the black barb, because when you push the black ring flush against the barb fitting, it could move the pinch tube slightly.
7) Now push the pinch tube back into the semi-open area of the back of the valve.
8) Screw the rear valve body back on over the pinch tube area. You may have to hold the material line as your twist this piece on, so as not to twist the material line.
9) Reattach the brass pincher, spring, and lever and align the pin back into the lever and body.
