This cutter is manufactured from tough alloyed Steel with state-of-the-art Heat Treating and ultra-precise CNC Grinding to create the ultimate shear cutter. The tapered head is perfect for cutting Soft (Copper) Wire up to 14 AWG (1.6mm). Each Cutter features soft Xuro-Rubber™ Grips and Light-Touch™ Return Springs, providing added comfort and control. The factory installed safety clip (Lead Retainer) is designed to help prevent wire leads and component shorts from flying, creating the potential of FOD (Foreign Object Damage) contamination. These Lead Retainers also serve as a safety catch for the operator, minimizing the risk for potential injury from flying debris.
