Okay. In this video today, we're going to talk about the best tool to use for compliance verification for your Bench Top Ionizers. That would be a charge plate analyzer in the ESD association standard, which is ANSI-ESD S20.20-2014. There are two test criteria when you are measuring ionizers. One of those is the balance of the ionizer. That should be plus or minus 35 volts and the other one is the discharge time or the time it takes to reduce a 1000 volt charge to 100 volts. So with using the charge plate analyzer, you can measure both of those criteria. So right now we have the charge plate, which is seen right here. It's set on float right now. So that would be measuring the balance of the ionizer and this particular ionizer, a two fan overhead ionizer is right now at minus seven volts.

So it's well within the 35 volt maximum requirement. So in order to measure the discharge time, what we're going to do is we're first going to measure the positive discharge time of the ionizer. Next, we're going to measure the negative discharge time. So we set the charge plate analyzer on the positive setting, we press this down, which charges the analyzer over 1000 volts. When it gets to 1000 volts, it'll start counting down. This particular analyzer neutralized 1000 volts to 100 volts in 2.3 seconds, which is excellent. So now we measure the negative. So we switch it to negative. Again, charge up the plate. We wait. And in this case, this ionizer neutralized 1000 volts to 100 volts of negative static electricity to 3.1 seconds, both very good. Now with regard to the discharge time that is user definable. Most companies typically have a less than 10 second discharge requirement. That's how a charge plan analyzer works. And it's as easy as that. Thank you.
