Buffer Gel Removal

Removing buffer gel with an orange cleaner and then rinsing with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) is a thing of the past. The one-step solution, Electro-Wash® MX Cleaner, is now available in two easy to use versions: 1) a presaturated container of 100 rugged lint-free wipers, and, 2) a 10 oz aerosol.

As a tool and work surface cleaner, there is nothing more effective than the solvent in the Electro-Wash® MX Tub. Each rugged lint-free wiper spools from the center of the wiper tub and may be reused by adding solvent from the ES1621 Electro-Wash® MX Aerosol. The Electro-Wash® MX will clean away oils, dusty soils, and leave tools like new. If the presaturated wipe is too moist for a particular application, simply allow the wiper to air dry for a few seconds prior to use. If the presaturated wipes are too dry for a particular series of applications, simply add solvent by spraying ES1621 into the container for a few seconds.

How to remove Buffer Gel

The Electro-Wash® MX Tubs (TO21) are self-contained package. Open the top and cut the protective film. The wipers spool from the center of the “log”. Thread the wipers through the top of the spring loaded moisture-guard door.

  • Remove excess buffer gel with a T021 wipe, or use a Coventry 6704 Lint Free Wipe
  • Pull one wipe from the container and wipe over the buffer gel
  • Fold the wiper in half and repeat the pass over the same area. At this point the cable will “squeak clean”. Repeat as may be necessary for high density gels
